Martin earned First Team All-CIAA football honors in his 1982 senior season as a defensive tackle. He also made the ‘82 All-CIAA/MEAC Second Team as a defensive end. He later received the team’s MVP award at the Broncos’ All Sports Banquet.            

Although not the biggest tackle in the league in his final season, according to his head coach William Head, his quickness helped him lead the Broncos with 7 quarterback sacks for a loss of 105 yards and 82 total tackles: 57 solo tackles and 25 assisted stops.

Kevin Martin went on after college football to sign a contract to play within the United State Football League.
