Kennie SimsKenneth Sims is a three-time CIAA Low Medalist Award winner for the Broncos golf team. He is one of three who have achieved this feat three or more times in FSU’s 50-year sport history. Sims won the 1984 title with a 156 stroke (79, 77) as the Broncos finished second overall. The following season in 1985, Sims, along with the team’s Co-MVP Stanley Jackson, lead Fayetteville State to a 1985 championship title as Kennie shot a 36-hole score of 156 for top finisher honors. In the 1986 conference championship, he fired a 139 (65-74) to lead the Broncos to its second straight conference title. All three individual title honors also garnered him All-CIAA Tournament Team accolades.
