Fayetteville State University Athletics

Kenneth Haywood was a basketball standout that averaged 14.8 points per game with a total of 1,627 points in 113 games for Fayetteville State. He was named to the CIAA All-Rookie Team in 2001 and consecutive All-CIAA honors in 2002, 2003, and 2004.  Haywood was named to the All-Tournament Team twice (2001 and 2002). In his rookie season, averaging 11.7 points and 8.1 rebounds, Kenny sent the 2001 CIAA Championship game against Johnson C. Smith University into overtime with his second made three-pointer of the season. He averaged more the 17 points per game (17.5 and 17.3) during his junior and senior season.
