The 1996 Fayetteville State University Women’s Volleyball Team etched its name into history with a season defined by dominance, unity, and championship glory. Under the leadership of Head Coach Elorine Hill, the Lady Broncos captured the CIAA Championship, marking the program’s first conference title and setting the stage for a legacy of excellence.

With a 23–9 overall record and a 14–4 mark in CIAA play, the team showcased consistency and resilience throughout the season. Their 9–3 division record reflected their strength against top-tier competition, and their performance in the CIAA Tournament culminated in a historic championship victory.

The 1996 squad was anchored by a balanced roster of talented student-athletes who embodied the spirit of Bronco pride. Their teamwork, grit, and determination laid the foundation for future success, including additional CIAA titles in 1998, 2007, 2012, 2013, and 2019.

Coach Elorine Hill’s leadership was instrumental in building a championship culture. Her strategic acumen and ability to inspire excellence helped elevate Fayetteville State Volleyball to new heights, and the 1996 team remains a shining example of her impact.
