WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- The Fayetteville State women's track & field team turned in a strong two‑day showing at the Camel City Sprints and Camel City Distance meets, held Feb. 6–7 at the JDL FastTrack in Winston‑Salem, N.C. The Broncos posted a variety of strong efforts against deep fields, highlighted by standout runs from the sprint group, major progress in the jumps and throws, and nationally competitive marks in the middle‑distance events.

Saturday's Camel City Distance races showcased some of the best middle‑distance efforts of the season, paced by Faith Kiplimo, who delivered two elite results against high‑level competition. Kiplimo placed 7th in the 1500m with a 4:38.26, then returned for the seeded mile, finishing 8th in 4:59.41. The mile group added strong depth as Videlma Jebet ran 5:19.74, Nia Gibson clocked 5:31.58, and Repline Cheptoo posted 5:51.69. In the 800 meters, Ashley Bell recorded a season highlight with a 2:24.28, and in the 3000 meters, Pelisha Kosgei finished in 10:28.15.

The Bronco throwers closed the weekend with major momentum in the shot put, where Whyte secured another top‑10 finish at 13.00m (42'8"), followed by Adriana Quamina at 12.50m (41'0.25") and Simmons‑Norris at 11.81m (38'9"), another personal best.
