FSU Duo Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors for 2026 Outdoor Track & Field Season

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Fayetteville State University placed two standout performers on the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Team, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Sophomore Faith Kiplimo and freshman Adriana Quamina each earned All-Region recognition for the Atlantic Region, highlighting a standout outdoor campaign for the Broncos.

Kiplimo earned All-Region honors in the women's 800 meters, capping a dominant and versatile season across multiple events. She opened the outdoor season with a season-best 2:11.61 to win the 800 meters at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational.

At the CIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Kiplimo delivered a signature performance, winning the 5000 meters (18:11.60), finishing runner-up in the 1500 meters (4:37.92), and advancing to the 800-meter final after a 2:14.45 preliminary effort before placing fourth overall.

Quamina earned All-Region distinction in the women's discus, completing an impressive freshman season highlighted by consistent top finishes and event victories. She recorded three discus wins during the outdoor campaign, including a season-best 45.92 meters (150'8") to take first at the JCSU Golden Bulls Invitational and a 45.28 meters (148'7") victory at the Quanera Hayes Blue Bear Invitational.

Quamina reached her peak at the CIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where she was crowned conference champion in the discus (44.35m / 145'6"), while also placing fourth in the shot put (12.57m) and competing in the javelin. Her consistency across meets and ability to deliver in championship settings helped secure her place among the Atlantic Region's top five performers.

The USTFCCCA recognizes the top five individuals in each event from each of the eight regions across NCAA Division II, along with members of the top three relay teams per region. The regional structure mirrors that used in cross country (Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast, and West).

Kiplimo and Quamina's selections underscore the continued growth and success of Fayetteville State's track & field program on the regional stage.
