A versatile veteran guard and team captain, Travon "Deuce" Cooper II enters his senior season as one of Fayetteville State's most experienced leaders. The Detroit native has helped guide the Broncos to multiple postseason appearances, including NCAA Tournament berths in 2024-25 and 2025-26, while playing a key role in Fayetteville State's 2025-26 CIAA Championship run.
Cooper earned CIAA All-Rookie Team honors during the 2023-24 season and has continued to develop into one of the Broncos' most dependable two-way players. His length, athleticism, and versatility allow him to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
Prior to Fayetteville State, Cooper starred at Cass Technical High School in Detroit, where he helped lead the Technicians to the 2023 Michigan Class A State Championship and a Detroit Public School League (PSL) Championship. He was recognized as a Third Team All-State selection following his senior season. In addition to basketball, he also competed in cross country.
Away from the court, Cooper is a Business Management major who plans to pursue a professional basketball career overseas while also working in his chosen field. He is actively involved in community service through Margaret Willis Elementary School, the Reggie McKenzie Foundation, and campus initiatives. A member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Cooper also serves as a team captain for the Broncos.
Cooper credits his older sister, Janae Jackson, a former collegiate basketball player at Northern Illinois and Youngstown State, as his biggest athletic influence and the inspiration behind wearing jersey No. 4.
