Kenneth Brayboy enters his senior season with the Broncos as a forward from Ellenwood, Georgia. A high-character student-athlete and team leader, Brayboy brings championship experience, athletic versatility, and a team-first mentality to Fayetteville State's program. He transferred to FSU after competing at both Clayton State and Miami Dade College and was a member of Fayetteville State's 2026 CIAA Championship team.
A graduate of Eagle's Landing High School, Brayboy enjoyed one of the most successful prep careers in program history. He helped lead the Eagles to a GHSA 5A State Championship, two state runner-up finishes, and multiple deep postseason runs. Among his individual accomplishments, he graduated in the top five percent of his class and earned the prestigious Atlanta Journal-Constitution Cup, recognizing the school's top all-around senior. He was also recognized for his contributions on the court with All-Region honors.Â
Off the court, Brayboy is majoring in Cybersecurity and plans to pursue a professional basketball career before transitioning into the cybersecurity field. He serves as a team captain and participates in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), demonstrating his commitment to leadership and service within the Fayetteville State community.
Brayboy chose Fayetteville State because of the genuine relationships he built with the coaching staff and the resources available to student-athletes on campus. He credits his mother as his greatest influence, saying she never made any dream feel too big to achieve. His favorite hobbies include fishing, hiking, video gaming, and grilling.
One of the most memorable moments of his athletic career came when he heard the final buzzer sound in the CIAA Championship game, cementing Fayetteville State's title run. Motivated by the adversity and doubt he has overcome throughout his basketball journey, Brayboy continues to approach competition with resilience, determination, and a championship mindset.
