Markuss Graudins brings size, international experience, and championship success to the Fayetteville State men's basketball program. A native of Riga, Latvia, the 6-foot-9 wing joins the Broncos after a decorated youth basketball career in his home country. Graudins is pursuing a degree in Theatre and is expected to graduate in 2030.
Before arriving at Fayetteville State, Graudins attended Riga State Gymnasium No. 1, where he developed into one of Latvia's promising young basketball talents. His accomplishments include winning a Latvian Second Basketball League championship, capturing two Latvian Youth Basketball League titles, and earning MVP honors while leading his team to a Latvian School Superleague championship.
Growing up, Graudins was heavily influenced by his father, who played a major role in his athletic development and passion for the game. One of his favorite sports memories came during the 2025 Riga School Superleague championship run, where he earned tournament MVP honors while helping his team capture the title.
Away from basketball, Graudins enjoys watching movies, attending concerts, and running. His interests extend beyond athletics and into the creative arts, which influenced his decision to pursue a degree in Theatre. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue his basketball career at the professional level while also exploring opportunities as a screenwriter in the film industry.
As he begins his collegiate career, Graudins looks forward to contributing to the Broncos' success while embracing the opportunities that come with being a student-athlete at Fayetteville State University.
