Biography

Gerardo Santiago Urena, a freshman guard for the FSU Broncos, hails from Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. Gerardo graduated from Palos Verdes High School in 2024, where he averaged 14 points per game and led his team to the playoffs in his senior year. Now majoring in Sports Management, Gerardo chose FSU for its strong program that aligns with his career goals of playing professional basketball or coaching. Off the court, he enjoys lifting weights, playing video games, and riding horses. Influenced deeply by his parents, Arlene Urena and Gerardo Santiago, he credits them for instilling in him the values of discipline and hard work. Gerardo wears jersey #23 and is excited to contribute to the Broncos' basketball program.
