Amber Savage, a freshman at Fayetteville State, is a dedicated and talented softball player who excels as both a pitcher and outfielder, proudly wearing jersey number 21. Standing at 5'4" and weighing 140 lbs, Amber bats and throws right-handed. Hailing from Virginia, she graduated from Woodbridge High School and is currently pursuing a major in Pre-Nursing. Amber's passion for helping others and the limitless opportunities in the nursing field inspired her to choose this major.
Beyond her athletic and academic pursuits, Amber has a unique artistic side; she loves singing, playing the piano, and painting. Her greatest inspiration is former JMU pitcher Odessy Alexander, whose athleticism and energy on the field motivate Amber to strive for excellence. One of her most cherished memories is hitting her first-ever home run out of the park on her birthday.
Amber's best experience at Fayetteville State has been the homecoming event, where she enjoyed seeing everyone come together and had the opportunity to run for Miss Freshman, allowing her to connect with new people. On game days, Amber prepares by starting her morning with prayer, enjoying a good breakfast, drinking her favorite peach energy drink by Alani, and blasting music through her headphones. Amber's dedication, unique talents, and aspirations make her a standout both on and off the field.
