Claira Stone is a dedicated catcher for the Fayetteville State University softball team, proudly wearing jersey number 20. Born on January 30, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Claira stands at 5'2" and bats and throws right-handed. She graduated from the National Sports School and is a sophomore majoring in Elementary Education.
Claira's journey from Canada to Fayetteville has been unique, and she aspires to become a kindergarten teacher while coaching softball. Her greatest inspiration comes from her hardworking parents, who have always supported her dreams. At FSU, Claira cherishes the friendships she's made and the diverse experiences she's had. She chose her major to make a difference in the lives of young students.
On game days, Claira prepares by listening to music to get into the right mindset. One of her favorite sports memories is representing Canada in the Senior League Softball World Series twice. Claira's passion for softball and education drives her to excel both on and off the field.
