SALISBURY, N.C. — Fayetteville State continued its strong conference push Wednesday night, earning a decisive 96–80 road victory over Livingstone. The win improves the Broncos to 12–6 overall and 6–2 in CIAA play. Livingstone falls to 7–11 (3–5 CIAA).
FSU seized control from the opening possession. Darius Boben, who finished with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds along with four steals, knocked down the first shot of the game and ignited a defensive run that quickly put Livingstone on its heels. Terrell Williams capitalized in transition with multiple early layups as the Broncos built a 19–6 lead.
The bench stretched the margin even further late in the first half. Ezekiel Cannedy drained back-to-back threes before Ibrahim Kourouma buried another, pushing the Broncos to a 43–26 advantage. A strong finish—including a dunk by Travon Cooper II—sent Fayetteville State into halftime up 51–36.
FSU refused to let the Blue Bears gain traction in the second half. Larry Howell immediately answered a Livingstone three with one of his own, Williams attacked the rim again, and Cooper II delivered two highlight dunks to extend the lead beyond 20 points. From there, the Broncos' depth closed it out, with Kenneth Brayboy, Romeo Aquino, and Tyler Gill adding key buckets down the stretch.
Williams led all Broncos with 19 points and 9 rebounds, Howell added 14 points, and FSU's bench contributed 31 points while forcing 17 turnovers, converting them into 19 points.
