Fayetteville State University Athletics

Romeo Aquino brings strength, consistency, and scoring power to the Fayetteville State University men’s basketball program as a senior forward. A native of Newburgh, New York, Aquino is a graduate of Washingtonville High School and has built a solid collegiate career marked by impactful performances and steady production.

During the 2024–25 season Bluefield State, Aquino played in 31 games, averaging 24.0 minutes per contest. He totaled 421 points for the season, averaging 13.6 points per game, while contributing 152 rebounds (4.9 per game), 46 assists, 32 steals, and 49 blocks—demonstrating his all-around value on both ends of the court.

Aquino chose Fayetteville State for its reputation as one of the best programs in the CIAA, and he continues to be a key contributor to the Broncos’ success. As he completes his degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Aquino remains focused on maximizing his impact on the court and preparing for future opportunities in basketball and beyond.
