WINSTON-SALEM, NC - On Saturday, December 7th, the Fayetteville State Women's Indoor Track and Field team showcased their talents at the Winston-Salem College Kick-off in Winston-Salem, NC. The standout performance of the day came from sophomore Mikalyn Chambers, who dominated the Women's Triple Jump event. Chambers secured first place with a jump of 11.49 meters (37' 8.5"), The event was a strong start for Fayetteville State, demonstrating their competitive spirit and potential for the season ahead.

Following their strong showing on Saturday, the Fayetteville State Women's Indoor Track and Field team continued their impressive performances on Sunday, December 8th, at the JDL Earlybird Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC.
Leading the team, Janya Moore clinched first place in the Women's 200m Seeded with a time of 24.98 seconds, meeting the NCAA Division II standard. Ziyah Etchison followed closely, securing second place in the same event with a time of 25.39 seconds. Other notable performances included Jeaneva Golden's second-place finish in the Women's 400m with a time of 1:01.47, and Tanzania Washington's second-place finish in the Women's 600 Meters with a time of 2:01.77. Ashley Bell also excelled, finishing third in the Women's 800 Meters with a time of 2:26.86.
The relay teams shone brightly, with Team A winning the Women's 4 x 400 Relay in 4:04.19 and the Women's 4 x 800 Relay in 10:13.71. Mikalyn Chambers continued her strong weekend with a second-place finish in the Women's Triple Jump, achieving a mark of 11.25 meters (36' 11"). In the field events, Aaliyah Whyte secured second place in the Women's Shot Put with a throw of 13.02 meters (42' 8.75") and third place in the Women's Weight Throw with a mark of 15.01 meters (49' 3").
