RALEIGH, N.C. — Freshman right-hander Tamarah Lowery threw a no-hitter and struck out seven to lead Fayetteville State to a 6–1 win over Shaw on Sunday, securing her first collegiate victory and etching her name into the Broncos' record book.

Lowery (1–2) was in control from the opening pitch, allowing just one unearned run and one walk across seven innings. She faced 24 batters and relied on a mix of rising fastballs and efficient pitch-to-contact sequences, inducing 10 flyouts and two groundouts while keeping the Bears hitless throughout the afternoon.

Fayetteville State (3–7) broke a scoreless tie in the third inning after Aniya Caldwell reached base and stole second—her first of two steals on the day. Freshman Sydney Jackson followed with an RBI single to center, giving the Broncos a 1–0 lead. Shaw later tied the game at 1–1, capitalizing on an error, but could not muster a hit against Lowery's steady command.

The Broncos reclaimed momentum in the sixth inning, when their offense erupted for five runs to put the game out of reach. Jackson sparked the rally with her second hit of the day, a triple to right field, before freshman Xztashya Porter delivered the game's biggest swing—a two-run double that rolled to the left-field wall. Fayetteville State continued to apply pressure on the basepaths, swiping five stolen bases as a team and forcing Shaw into defensive miscues that extended the inning.

Jackson finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a triple to pace the offense, while Tiara Stueck, Cheyenne Payne, and Claira Stone each added hits. Porter drove in two runs and contributed one of the team's five steals, while Caldwell accounted for two.

Fayetteville State out-hit Shaw 6–0 and held the Bears to 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position. Shaw's only run came in the fourth inning after an error allowed a runner to score from third.

Shaw starter Iona Davis (0–1) took the loss after allowing one run in 2 2/3 innings. Reliever Syhia Marks gave up five runs over three innings before Anyah Francis recorded the final out.

Lowery closed the door in the seventh, retiring the side to secure the no-hitter—the Broncos' most dominant pitching performance of the season.
