Winston-Salem, NC -- Fayetteville State University Track & Field showcased an impressive display of performances at the Mondo College Invitational on January 18th at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, NC.

Leading the Broncos was
Ronee Tudor, who secured second place in the Women's 60m Finals with a career-best time of 7.63 seconds, meeting the NCAA DII standard. Tudor is currently running her senior season at Fayetteville State University after transferring from Winston-Salem State. Her collegiate bests include the new 60m time of 7.63 seconds, a 100m time of 11.71 seconds (with a wind reading of 1.7), and a 200m time of 24.55 seconds (with a wind reading of 1.2).
At Fayetteville State, Ronee has already made her mark. At the Jan. 18
th Mondo College Invitational, she finished second in the 60m preliminaries with a time of 7.66 seconds and placed seventh in the 200m finals with a time of 26.29 seconds. Earlier, at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-off on December 7, 2024, she finished fifth in the 200m finals with a time of 26.39 seconds and sixth in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:07.63.
Janya Moore dominated the Women's 200m Seeded event, finishing first with a time of 25.27 seconds. In the Women's 4x800 Relay, the team of
Nia Gibson, Ashley Bell, Brenda Cheboi, and Repline Cheptoo clinched first place with a time of 9:52.93 ahead of North Greenville and Milligan. The Women's 4x400 Relay team also performed admirably, with the 'A' squad finishing third in 4:03.76 behind Wofford and Elon.
In field events,
Mikalyn Chambers excelled in the Women's Long Jump, securing third place with a leap of 5.30 meters.
Aaliyah Whyte delivered a strong performance in the Women's Shot Put, finishing fifth with a throw of 12.24 meters.
Fayetteville State will be back in action Thursday, January 23
rd through the 25
th at the
Brant Tolsma Invitational in Lynchburg, Virginia, at Liberty University.
