MEBANE, N.C. — Fayetteville State continued to pace the field at the 2026 CIAA Men's Golf Championship, maintaining its lead after round two Monday at Mill Spring Golf Course.
The Broncos posted an even-par team score in the second round and sit at +6 overall through 36 holes, holding a four-shot advantage over second-place Winston-Salem State heading into the final round.
Fayetteville State placed multiple golfers near the top of the individual leaderboard, highlighted by Patrico Ramirez and Landon Cabingas, who are tied for second at even par (144). Cabingas delivered one of the lowest rounds of the championship, firing a 3-under-par 69 in round two.
Ramirez followed his opening-round 71 with a steady 73, while Sutton Dreier remains in strong position tied for fourth at +1 (145) after carding a 73. Donald Barnett and Andrew McCarver rounded out the Broncos' scoring efforts as the team showcased depth and consistency entering the final day.
The final round of the 2026 CIAA Men's Golf Championship tees off Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m.
