Landon Cabingas, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound golfer from New Bern, North Carolina, is a junior at Fayetteville State University majoring in Business. A proud graduate of New Bern High School (Class of 2021), Landon transferred to FSU from Sandhills Community College, where he made a significant mark on the national stage. During his time at Sandhills, he was a two-time national champion and earned All-American honors twice—placing 8th individually in his first year and 3rd in his second. Academically, he was recognized on the Dean’s List twice. Landon’s passion for golf began early and has grown into a career ambition; he plans to become a professional golfer and business owner after graduation. Known for his uplifting personality and positive energy, Landon enjoys playing football in the yard during his downtime. His most memorable sports moments include making his first hole-in-one and winning two national championships. Inspired by his parents, Tina and Cris Cabingas, who have always supported him, Landon chose Fayetteville State as a “God wink” and a chance to continue both his education and golf career. He has also given back to the community through service activities like washing fire trucks.
