CHARLOTTE, NC – Fayetteville State women's track and field earned multiple weekly honors from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association as Videlma Jebet was named CIAA Track Athlete of the Week and Adriana Quamina earned CIAA Field Athlete of the Week recognition following standout performances at the Livingstone Blue Bear Invitational.
Jebet turned in a championship‑caliber effort on the track, capturing first place in the 1500 meters with a season‑best time of 4:56.44. Her performance marked one of the top distance results in the conference during the week and continued her strong progression throughout the outdoor season.
Quamina delivered one of the most complete field performances of the meet, highlighted by a first‑place finish in the discus with a throw of 45.23 meters (148 feet, 6 inches). The mark narrowly missed the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard of 45.53 meters and stands among the top throws in the CIAA this season.
In addition to her discus win, Quamina placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 11.57 meters (37 feet, 11 inches) and sixth in the javelin at 24.10 meters (79 feet, 1 inch), demonstrating her versatility and consistency across multiple throwing events.
