CHARLOTTE, NC -- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) has named Fayetteville State's men's basketball player, Romeo Aquino, as the week #11 CIAA Defensive Player of the Week.

Aquino, a senior interdisciplinary studies student from Newburgh, NY, delivered a disruptive defensive presence across two road victories, controlling the interior with high-energy rebounding, physical play, and timely stops that fueled the Broncos' momentum on both ends of the floor. Aquino closed the week with 33 points, 18 total rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, and strong shooting efficiency while imposing his presence around the rim and limiting opponents' second-chance opportunities.

• at USC Beaufort (W) – 12 rebounds (10 defensive), 1 steal, 23 points, 7–12 FG, 9–11 FT
• at Livingstone (W) – 6 rebounds (6 defensive), 1 block, 1 steal, 10 points, 5–10 FG

The team will host Winston-Salem State tonight at 8:00 pm in Capel Arena.
