GAME 2 | Fayetteville State 3, Livingstone 1
SALISBURY, N.C. --The Fayetteville State Broncos rallied from down 1-0 in the sixth inning to win in exciting fashion, scoring three runs in the seventh to earn a 3-1 victory over the Livingstone Blue Bears (5-15, 0-9 CIAA) Friday.
Freshman Kevana Deberry (4-6) started in the circle and picked up the win for Fayetteville State (9-17, 3-7 CIAA). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on six hits, allowing no walks and striking out six.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Broncos were trailing 1-0 in the seventh inning when they first put runs on the board. Morgan Jackson singled through the left side for the first RBI. Her twin sister Olivia singled to third to score the second run and their younger Sydney reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Morgan to cross home.
