Fayetteville State comes up short in 4-2 loss to Methodist

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. --The Methodist Monarchs proved to be too much for Fayetteville State on this particular day, as the Broncos fell 4-2 on Saturday.

B. Brown (2-5) started and took the loss in the circle for Fayetteville State (4-11).

In the batter's box, the Broncos were led by B. Crosby, who went 1-for-3 on the day with two RBIs. A. Johnson put together a standout day at the dish as well, going 2-for-3 with a double.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Trailing 4-0, the Broncos first put runs on the board in the fifth inning. Crosby drove in two runs for Fayetteville State with a single, that scored Johnson and G. Vincent. The Broncos were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
