PEMBROKE, N.C. --The Fayetteville State Broncos struggled on Thursday, falling to the UNC Pembroke Braves by the final score of 13-2.
B. Brown (1-3) got the ball to start for Fayetteville State (1-1) and took the loss.
In the batter's box, the Broncos were led by Makyiah Mitchell, who went 1-for-2 on the day with an RBI. Grace Vincent put together a standout performance at the dish as well, going 1-for-2 with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 13-0, the Broncos first put runs on the board in the fourth inning. Fayetteville State scored twice, with one run coming across on Mitchell's single. The Broncos were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
