SAINT AUGUSTINE'S BESTS BRONCOS, 6-3

FAYETTEVILLE - Saint Augustine's won all three doubles matches en route to a 6-3 win over Fayetteville State on Saturday.

Freshman Shantana Donegan (Brookyln, NY), Amber Mitchell (Red Springs, NC) and Schanelle Ebanks (Irvington, NJ) won their matches and gave the Broncos their three points.

Donegan defeated Brittany Shim 8-3, Amber Mitchell topped Kira Edgehill 8-2 while Ebanks won her match 8-5.

In doubles play, Kristy Mitchell and Donegan won 11 games but fell to Edgehill and Shim 8-8, 7-3.

FSU (3-11, 2-9 CIAA) hosts Shaw on Tuesday at 1 p.m. before closing out the season with a home tilt against the University of North Carolina at Pembroke on Saturday at 1 p.m.
