CHARLOTTE, NC – Fayetteville State Volleyball claimed three of the four Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Weekly honors, as Mya Hejl was named Offensive Player of the Week, Jasmine Culp earned Defensive Player of the Week, and McKenna Miller was selected as Rookie of the Week following the Broncos' undefeated opening weekend at the Mount Olive Tournament.

Hejl, a junior business and healthcare management major from Valley Springs, South Dakota, led the Broncos offensively during the 3-0 weekend. She totaled 29 kills, 10 digs, three service aces, and 37.0 points while hitting .290 across 14 sets. Hejl recorded 10 kills and hit .471 against Wingate, followed by eight kills against Georgia College and 11 kills against host Mount Olive.

Culp, a graduate student majoring in accounting from Clayton, North Carolina, anchored Fayetteville State's defensive effort. The libero collected 62 digs, averaging 4.43 digs per set, while adding 27 assists and six service aces. She posted 16 digs against Wingate, 20 digs against Georgia College, and finished the weekend with a tournament-high 26 digs against Mount Olive.

Miller, a freshman business administration major from Jefferson, South Carolina, made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut. She registered 14 kills, 10 digs, three total blocks, and 15.5 points over 14 sets. Miller recorded five kills against Wingate, tallied a weekend-best seven kills versus Georgia College, and added four kills and two blocks in the victory over Mount Olive.

The trio helped Fayetteville State open the 2026 season with three victories over Wingate, Georgia College, and Mount Olive.
