GAME 2 Bluefield 3 - Fayetteville State 2
BLUEFIELD, Va. — Bluefield scored twice in the first inning and held off a late Fayetteville State push to secure a 3–2 win and a doubleheader sweep Tuesday evening at Graham Rec Park.
The Rams (11–33) jumped ahead quickly in the first when Chloe Dillow doubled to right‑center and Olivia Bailey followed with a two‑run double to center. Bluefield added what proved to be the decisive run in the fifth on Dillow's RBI single, stretching the lead to 3–0.
FSU (13–19) chipped away late. Tiara Stueck put the Broncos on the board with a solo homer to center in the sixth, then the Broncos mounted a final push in the seventh. Xztashya Porter doubled to start the inning, and after an Aniya Caldwell single and stolen base, Isabella Rumbold lifted a sacrifice fly to left to make it 3–2. The potential tying run remained in scoring position, but a lineout to left ended the game.
A'leah Wilson led the Broncos with two hits, while Porter, Caldwell, and Jazzmyn Ohlson each added key late‑inning contributions.
