Stueck Named CIAA Softball Defensive Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, NC – Lumberton native and Fayetteville State junior Tiara Stueck has been named the CIAA Softball Defensive Player of the Week after turning in a flawless defensive performance during CIAA Round‑Up competition, as announced by the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Stueck anchored the Broncos' defense with consistency and poise across six games, recording 33 total chances while posting 31 putouts and two assists without committing a single error. She finished the week with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, delivering clean defensive performances in five of the six contests.

One of her strongest outings came against Lincoln (Pa.), where Stueck was errorless while helping turn a key double play in a tightly contested game. She followed with mistake‑free performances in Fayetteville State victories over Virginia State, Elizabeth City State and Bluefield State, handling multiple high‑workload games behind the plate and in the field.
