FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Due to the potential for inclement weather and growing safety concerns across the region, Fayetteville State University has announced that this weekend's highly anticipated basketball double‑header against Winston‑Salem State University has been rescheduled. The games will now take place on Tuesday, January 27, with the women tipping off at 6:00 p.m. and the men following at 8:00 p.m. inside Capel Arena.

Predicted weather conditions and their impact on travel throughout the region prompted the decision, prioritizing the safety of student‑athletes, staff, supporters, and the community. The adjustment also ensures the integrity of this important CIAA matchup while avoiding potential hazards associated with weekend travel.

All previously purchased advance tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date.
