GAME 2 | Claflin 10, Fayetteville State 5
ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Fayetteville State's explosive start wasn't enough to secure a win on Friday, as the Broncos fell 10-5 to the Claflin Panthers. Freshman Amber Savage (1-8) started on the mound for Fayetteville State (11-18, 7-7) and took the loss. However, freshman Tamarah Lowery provided a bright spot, delivering three scoreless innings in relief, allowing just three hits, with three walks and one strikeout.
At the plate, the Broncos were led by freshman Madison Heath, who went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Freshman Laniyah Bethea also had a notable performance, going 1-for-2 with a double and a walk, while freshman Olivia Jackson contributed two hits in four at-bats.

However, the Panthers mounted a comeback, scoring 10 runs to take a 10-4 lead. Fayetteville State managed to push across another run in the fifth inning on Heath's two-out RBI double, narrowing the gap to 10-5. Despite their efforts, the Broncos couldn't close the deficit, and the game ended without further scoring.
Claflin's offense was powered by sophomore Jeniah Williams, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. On the mound, sophomore Sydra Pendleton led the Panthers, pitching seven innings and allowing five runs.
