KENOSHA, Wis. – Fayetteville State University wrapped up a historic cross country season with three runners competing at the NCAA Division II National Championships on the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course, marking a major milestone for the program.
Franklin Kipchirchir led the way for the Broncos in the men's 10K race, finishing 35th overall with a time of 30:37.4 to earn All-American honors. His performance showcased elite-level pacing, averaging 4:56 per mile, and a strong finish that secured his spot among the nation's best.
Teammate Brian Kiprop also impressed, placing 66th in 31:11.1 with an average pace of 5:01 per mile.
On the women's side, Faith Kiplimo represented Fayetteville State in the 6K race, finishing 82nd overall in 21:38.7.
Head Coach Dr. Inez Turner reflected on the achievement:
"Faith, Franklin, and Brian have worked tirelessly all season, and their results speak volumes about their dedication. To have three runners compete at the national level—and for Franklin to earn All-American status—is a tremendous achievement for Fayetteville State. This is a proud moment for our program and a sign of even greater things to come."
