Biography
Franklin Kipchirchir is a standout freshman on the Fayetteville State University men’s cross country team, known for his endurance, discipline, and record-breaking performances. Originally from Kapsabet, Kenya, Kipchirchir graduated from Maranda High School and transferred to FSU from Virginia Union University.
At the collegiate level, Kipchirchir has already made his mark by setting a CIAA record in cross country and competing at the national level—an experience he describes as one of the most significant in his athletic journey.
He is pursuing a degree in Nursing with plans to enter the healthcare field after graduation. Off the course, Kipchirchir enjoys reading and credits his father, David Ng’ochoi, as his greatest inspiration for instilling perseverance and ambition.
Kipchirchir chose Fayetteville State for its strong cross country program and nursing curriculum, making it the ideal place to pursue both his academic and athletic goals.
