The stage is set for an exciting CIAA Tournament clash as Fayetteville State (18-5, 14-2 CIAA) takes on Bluefield State (15-16, 12-4 CIAA) in Bowie, Maryland. Both teams enter the postseason with momentum and plenty to prove.

Fayetteville State Broncos

The Broncos have been dominant throughout conference play, finishing near the top of the CIAA standings. They boast a balanced attack led by Chiara Vittoni and Symone Morris, who have been a force at the net, and setter Giovanna Teixeira, who orchestrates the offense with precision. Defensively, Jasmine Culp anchors the back row, while the team's aggressive serving game has been a difference-maker all season.

Fayetteville State swept Bluefield State in their previous meeting on October 18, winning in straight sets (25-11, 25-11, 25-17) behind a .433 hitting percentage and strong net play. Expect the Broncos to lean on their depth and experience as they aim for another decisive performance. 

Bluefield State Big Blue

Bluefield State enters the tournament riding a late-season surge, including a Senior Night sweep of Lincoln (PA) and a strong showing at the CIAA Round-Up. The Big Blue rely on Callesta Styles, their go-to hitter, and setter Gabrielle Hale, who provides steady distribution and service pressure. Defensive specialist Maya Morales will be key in slowing down Fayetteville State's attack.

Although Bluefield State fell to the Broncos earlier this season, they've shown resilience and improved consistency, winning their last three matches. To pull off the upset, they'll need to limit errors and capitalize on transition opportunities.
