FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Fresh off capturing the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Championship, Fayetteville State University's volleyball team has secured the No. 8 seed in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional. The Broncos will travel to Erie, Pennsylvania, to face top-seeded Gannon University on Thursday, December 4 at 4:30 p.m. inside the Hammermill Center.

The NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championship bracket was unveiled during the Selection Show on Monday, November 24, streamed live on NCAA.com. The 64-team single-elimination tournament features 23 automatic qualifiers and 41 at-large selections, determined by the Division II Women's Volleyball Committee. Eight regional sites host first-round matchups, with teams seeded 1 through 8 in each region.

Fayetteville State enters the tournament riding momentum after claiming its eighth CIAA title in program history. The Broncos will look to make a statement against Gannon, which earned the No. 1 seed and hosting rights for the Atlantic Regional for the fourth consecutive year. This will be the second meeting between Fayetteville State and Gannon. The two programs last met on September 8, 2023, when the Broncos fell in four sets during a non-conference matchup.

This marks Fayetteville State's eight NCAA Atlantic Regional appearance in program history. The Broncos previously competed in 2021, falling to No. 1 Wheeling in the opening round.

Atlantic Regional First-Round Matchups:

  1. Gannon University (1) vs. Fayetteville State University (8)
  2. East Stroudsburg (2) vs. Charleston (WV) (7)
  3. Indiana (PA) (3) vs. Fairmont State (6)
