Fayetteville, NC - FSU Softball is set to take on the Bears of Shaw University at home this Wednesday, April 17, for their Pink Out game. Game one of the doubleheader begins at 1:00 pm and game two begins at 3:00 pm.

Kevana Deberry and sophomore
Hannah Mills combined to throw a shutout on Saturday as the Fayetteville State Broncos blanked the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls 2-0. JCSU is now 3-20 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
Deberry started in the circle for Fayetteville State, going five shutout innings while giving up five hits, walking one, and striking out four. Mills was dealing out of the bullpen as well, going two shutout innings, allowing one hit, walking none and striking out one.
In game two, the Broncos secured a 7-5 victory. Sophomore
Hannah Mills started in the circle and picked up the win for Fayetteville State. The right-hander went three innings, giving up four runs, all of them earned, on five hits, allowing no walks and striking out one. Freshman
Kevana Deberry also made an impact in the circle for the Broncos, throwing four innings, giving up one run on two hits, with one walk and six strikeouts.
In the batter's box, the Broncos were led by sophomore
Treja Patterson, who went 2-for-4 on the day with a double, a triple and an RBI. Junior
Olivia Jackson compiled a noteworthy effort as well, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Freshman
Aniya Caldwell also chipped in for Fayetteville State, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate while adding two RBI.
About the Bears
Shaw is 1-5 in conference play and 5-13 overall. In their most recent game vs Winston Salem-State, the Bears fell short in both games.
Game one had a final score of 15-0, and game two had a final score of 8-2.
