Fayetteville, NC - FSU Softball is set to take on the Blue Bears of Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC this Friday, April 12. Game one of the doubleheader begins at 1:00 pm and game two begins at 3:00 pm.

In game one, the Broncos fell to the Rams with a final score of 7-2, despite the efforts of
Treja Patterson, who went 1-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. The Rams improved to 4-18 and 3-4 in conference play with the win.
Offensively, the Broncos were led by Patterson, who went 1-for-4 on the day with a home run and an RBI.
Olivia Jackson put together a standout performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-4 with a double.
Xztashya Porter also helped out for Fayetteville State, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate.
In game two,
Hannah Mills (4-3) got the ball to start for Fayetteville State (7-17, 1-7 CIAA) and took the loss with a final score of 11-3.
Treja Patterson came across to score the lone run of the third inning for Fayetteville State and get them on the board. Fayetteville State picked up a couple on a two-run triple from
Xztashya Porter, which tightened the Rams lead to 9-3.
About the Blue Bears
Livingstone is 5-13 overall, and 0-7 in conference play. In their most recent doubleheader vs Benedict College this past Wednesday, April 10, the Blue Bears split with Benedict, losing game one (2-6) and winning game two (6-5).
Livingstone scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure the 6-5 victory in the second game.
