DUNCAN, S.C. --The Fayetteville State Broncos were not able to record a run against Albany State (GA) pitcher Trista Murphy on Friday and were shut out 9-0 by the Golden Rams.
Kevana Deberry (0-1) got the ball to start for Fayetteville State (0-4 overall) and took the loss.
Xztashya Porter led the way offensively for the Broncos, going 1-for-2 in the ballgame with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fayetteville State managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-1 with runners in scoring position. The Broncos last got a runner on third in the sixth, when Porter made it 60 feet away from scoring with one out.
