Fayetteville, NC – The FSU Softball team is set to travel to Spartanburg, SC for a weekend of games at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association/Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Challenge, from Friday, Feb. 16 - Sunday, Feb. 18.
The CIAA/SIAC Challenge Schedule:
Day 1: Feb. 16
FSU v Edward Waters (Fla.) - 12:00 pm
FSU v Albany State - 5:00 pm
Day 2: Feb. 17
FSU v Tuskegee - 3:00 pm
Day 3: Feb.18
FSU v Kentucky State - 12:30 pm
FSU v Miles - 3:00 pm
Last season, the Broncos went 1-3 at the CIAA/SIAC Challenge (Benedict 1-6 L, Edward Waters 0-6 L, Kentucky State 6-7 L, Clark Atlanta 9-0 W).
So far this season, the Broncos are 0-2 after playing their season opener double-header vs Coker at home (Game One 1-15, Game Two 1-8). Team leaders included freshman
Camryn Alexander who led the way offensively for the Broncos, going 1-for-2 in game 1. In game 2 offensively, the Broncos were led by sophomore
Angelica Locklear, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double and an RBI. Freshman
Xztashya Porter put together a standout effort as well, going 1-for-4 with a double.
