CHARLOTTE, NC - Fayetteville State Men's Golf team finished second in the JCSU Golden Bulls Shootout Invitational at the CT Myers Golf Course in Charlotte, NC with a 614, 38 strokes over par.
The men finished the first 18-hole round of the competition with 300 strokes, 10 strokes behind the eventual tournament winner, Livingstone College. FSU closed the second round of 18 holes with 314 strokes.
Brandon Jones was named to the Shootout's All-Tournament Team after finishing in second place, swinging 73 strokes in his first round and a two-under par 69 in his second.
Zack Martin completed the weekend in the top ten with a performance of 150 total strokes (+6), racking up a 74 in the first round and 76 in the second.
Shaun Wixson tied for tenth place with JCSUs Isaiah Nickerson (152; +8), posting a 72 from his first round and 80 in the second.
The men's golf team competes next in Wagram, NC at the Deercroft Spring Break Invite beginning Sunday, March 27.
