North East, PA (Thursday, May 6, 2021) – Fayetteville State University had a solid first round of golf at the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional Championships with a sixth-place finish. In a field of 16 teams, the Broncos shot a 309, 21-over par, to trail 13 strokes from the leader St. Thomas Aquinas, 296 (+8). Gannon is ranked second with a 297 performance and Davis & Elkins College is a close third at 298.

Shaun Wixson (Fayetteville, NC) and
Logan Patrick (Dunn, NC) are tied at the 32
nd spot with 78 strokes. Zack Martin (Sandford, NC) is one stroke behind the pair and
Logan Sessoms (Eastover, NC) has an 84 score for a tied 73
rd ranking.
Zack Martin will lead-off Fayetteville State tomorrow with a 9:50 am tee time at the Lake View Country Club in North East, PA.
