Fayetteville State improved to 18-6 overall and sits tied with Claflin in the CIAA Southern Division with a 7-6 conference record. The Blue Bears drop to 5-8 in the conference and 12-12 overall.
Spicer (a native of Greensboro, NC) finished the game with ten assists, five rebounds, and three points.
Jalen Seegars (Greensboro, NC) led the Broncos with 25 points from 5-of-10 three-pointers and 10-of-16 field goals. He also had a team-high eight rebounds.
Denzell Hosch (Shelby, NC) knocked down four threes and two free throws for 14 points.
Will Brown (Gresham, SC) had a big presence in the paint with 13 points and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
Fayetteville State had a late 13-0 run in the first half to stretch a six-point lead to 19 (43-24) and hold onto a 47-27 lead at halftime.
Struggling with a game-total 22 turnovers, Fayetteville State's 20-point cushion dwindled to a tied 63-63 score with 5:53 left in the game. The heart-wrenching game would see three more knotted scores.

Isaiah Vinson committed his fifth foul on a Roger Ray attempt with 21 seconds left in the game.
Ray, who finished with a game-high 26 points, netted both attempts for a 73-72 lead.
Malik Smith helped the Blue Bears with a perfect performance in field goals and 17 points.
Fayetteville State was 53.1% in shooting (26-49) to Livingstone's 50% (26-52). FSU out-rebounded LC 36-19, for which 27 boards were on the defensive end.
