BOWIE, Md. - The Fayetteville State men's basketball team finished it's five-day road trip with a 79-62 loss at Bowie State on Monday.
FSU (4-8, 1-5 CIAA) was led by Ariel Robinson and Jamel Carpenter who scored 14 points apiece. Sophomore Jarmel Baxter tallied 13 points while senior Davon Hood added eight.
BSU has won seven of its last eight games against the Broncos. FSU hasn't beaten the Bulldogs since a 72-63 win in Capel Arena on Feb. 4, 2006.
The Broncos trailed 48-38 at halftime. BSU shot 50 percent from the field and made all 10 of its first-half free throws.
FSU is off until a home-tilt with Eastern Division power Virginia Union on Tuesday. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
Duke Crews led Bowie State with 22 points.
