Redshirt junior KaNyah ONeal has emerged as one of the top guards in the CIAA, earning conference recognition for her impact on both ends of the floor. A native of Washington, North Carolina, O'Neal has steadily developed into a key contributor for the Broncos, building an impressive list of accolades during her Fayetteville State career.
During the 2025-26 season, ONeal was named to the Preseason All-CIAA Women's Basketball Team, earned CIAA Defensive Player of the Week honors during the first week of the season, and was selected to the All-CIAA Second Team. As a rookie in 2024-25, she collected CIAA Rookie of the Week honors three times and was named to the All-CIAA Rookie Team, establishing herself as one of the conference's rising stars.
Before arriving at Fayetteville State, ONeal attended Southside High School, where she also competed in track and field. She chose Fayetteville State because it "felt like home" and appreciates the support student-athletes receive both academically and personally.
Away from the court, ONeal is majoring in Business and aspires to own and operate a box truck company after graduation. She credits her entire family as her biggest athletic influence and enjoys spending her free time playing Fortnite.
