CHARLOTTE, NC - Fayetteville State freshman second baseman
Jazzmyn Ohlson was named Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Rookie of the Week for week nine honors.
Ohlson, a nursing student-athlete from Raleigh, NC, had a standout performance in the Broncos' two-game sweep of Winston-Salem State. She delivered a breakout effort in Game 1, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a game-high four RBIs, highlighted by a triple and a home run. She also drew a walk and added a stolen base, accounting for four of Fayetteville State's 11 runs. Ohlson continued to impact the series in Game 2 as a pinch runner, showcasing her versatility and all-around contribution.
