Fayetteville State Women’s Bowling Team and Five Student-Athletes Earn NTCA All-Academic Honors

Fayetteville, NC - The Fayetteville State University Women's Bowling team has once again demonstrated excellence both on the lanes and in the classroom. For the 2024–25 season, the team and five of its standout student-athletes were recognized by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) as All-Academic Scholar Athletes.

Among the 397 student-athletes honored nationwide, FSU's honorees include:

  • Paige Rockwell – Junior, Biology major, Dayton, OH
  • Erika Reed – Junior, Accounting major, Dayton, OH
  • Janari Aiken – Freshman, Business Administration major, Middletown, NY
  • Nicole Sarko – Freshman, Business Administration major, Palm Bay, FL
  • Lillian Mozzi – Sophomore, Psychology major, Old Hickory, TN

To qualify for this prestigious individual recognition, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher throughout the academic year.

In addition to individual accolades, the Fayetteville State bowling program was one of just 49 NCAA teams to meet the NTCA's team academic standard, which requires a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. FSU ranked an impressive 6th nationally, boasting a team GPA of 3.691.

The NTCA annually honors programs and student-athletes who exemplify academic dedication, and Fayetteville State continues to be a model of student-athlete success.
