LELAND, N.C. (AP) — The 2025 CIAA Golf Championship is heating up at Magnolia Green Golf Club, with Fayetteville State making a strong showing after two rounds. The Broncos posted scores of 301 and 308, totaling 609 (+33), to secure second place heading into the final round.
Bluefield State leads the pack with a combined score of 594 (+18), but Fayetteville State is just 15 strokes behind, poised to challenge for the top spot. Livingstone is close behind in third with a total of 613 (+37).

Sutton Dreier is among the top performers, currently in third place in the individual standings with a total score of 146 (+2). Dreier's first-round score of 70 was a highlight. Despite a challenging second round, his birdie on the par-3 8th hole was a key moment.
Allan Terrazas also contributed significantly to Fayetteville State's strong position, tying for fifth place with a total score of 149 (+5). His consistent play across both rounds has been crucial for the team.
Virginia State's David Chavez leads the individual standings with an impressive 143 (-1), thanks to a stellar second-round score of 66. Eman Lim of Bluefield State is in second place at 145 (+1).
Johnson C. Smith's Isaiah Nickerson made a significant move with a second-round 69, placing him fourth at 148 (+4).
