RICHMOND, VA -- The 2025 CIAA Northern Division Tournament, hosted by Virginia Union University, saw some impressive performances, with Fayetteville State finishing in 5th place with a total score of 617, +53 over par, with round scores of 312 and 305. Livingstone, Chowan, and Bluefield State took the top three spots. Livingstone led the field with a total score of 592, finishing +28 over par (297, 295). Chowan followed closely behind with a total score of 594, finishing +30 over par (308, 286). Bluefield State claimed the third spot with a total score of 608, finishing +44 over par (315, 293 ).
Sutton Dreier, a freshman from Fayetteville, NC, was the top performer for Fayetteville State. In the first round, Sutton scored 75 (+4), showing consistency and skill with a balanced performance across the holes, including a birdie on Hole 11. In the second round, Sutton continued to excel, scoring 75 (+5), with birdies on Holes 1 and 12, maintaining his strong form and contributing significantly to the team's overall score.
