CHARLOTTE, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) has named Fayetteville State men's basketball player, Romeo Aquino, as the Week #4 Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.

Aquino, a senior forward interdisciplinary studies major from Newburgh, NY, anchored the Broncos' defense with 4 blocks and 3 steals, while pulling down 12 defensive rebounds over two games. His rim protection and ability to disrupt passing lanes made him a dominant force on the defensive end.  Aquino provided defensive versatility, impacting multiple defensive areas because of his game-changing blocks.

• vs Elizabeth City State (12/4/25): 13 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal 
• vs Virginia Union (12/6/25): 15 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals
