Joe Owens, Jr as Quarterback of the Week and
Shawn Robinson as Defensive Lineman of the Week for Week #10 Honors.
Joe Owens, Jr., a graduate businss major from Greenville, SC, delivered a poised and efficient performance under center to lead Fayetteville State to victory. The quarterback completed 18 of 24 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his accuracy and command of the offense. Owens also contributed on the ground, rushing for 39 yards on six carries, including a long of 19 yards. His ability to extend plays and protect the football—finishing with zero interceptions and no sacks—was instrumental in the Broncos' offensive success.
Shawn Robinson, a redshirt senior computer science major from Charlotte, NC, made his impact felt in the game's most critical moments. Though he recorded just two total tackles, both were sacks totaling 9 yards lost, including a clutch takedown late in the fourth quarter that sealed the win for Fayetteville State. His timely pressure and ability to break through the offensive line were pivotal in preserving the Broncos' victory.
Fayetteville State wrapped up the regular season with a 6–4 overall record and a 6–1 mark in CIAA play, showcasing resilience and growth throughout the year.
