Charlotte, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) named Fayetteville State football player, Keyshawn Monk, as the week #8 CIAA Football Defensive Back Player of the Week.

Keyshawn Monk, a redshirt junior sports management major from Cleveland, NC, contributed across the board in the secondary, recording six total tackles (two solo), 0.5 tackles for loss, one interception, one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry, and a fumble recovery. His ball-hawking ability and timely plays helped stall Shaw drives and preserve Fayetteville State's lead.
